Founded in 1996, the sound-intensive Ensemble Sax Allemande has been attracting an even wider public in numerous concerts.

Saxophones on the terrain of the high art of classical chamber music are a novelty for many listeners, from the spectacular charm of which only a few can escape.

From the beginning, there was the challenge of coming up with well thought-out, coherently conceived concert programs on the stage with convincing editing and original compositions selected for this casting.

Examples of this are the sensational CD recordings and not least the Echo Klassik award for the best chamber music recording of the year 2009.

Hector Berlioz described the saxophone as the chameleon of instruments. In addition, a wide range of dynamics and articulations predestined the saxophone family to become one of the most exciting musical manoeuvres.

Sax Allemande celebrates these opportunities with masterly ease and irresistible charm.
